The Cuts were a rock and roll band from Oakland, California.

The Cuts were formed by El Paso natives Carlos Palacios and Eric Von Ravenson in 1998 at the California College of the Arts. Von Ravenson left the band and Andy Jordan, Carson Bell, Elizabeth Dotzler and Garrett Goddard solidified this lineup and the band cut the Heart Attack 7" on Lookout Records. They went on tour with The Donnas in 1999. "Danny James" Aaberg replaced Dotzler in 2000 and in 2001, the Cuts moved to El Paso to live cheaply and work on their writing. The Cuts rapidly developed a terrible reputation as crazed Punk Rockers resulting in the phrase "The Cuts did it."[1]
